This 400,000 sq. ft. combination showroom/ warehouse was completely engulfed in smoke resulting from a fire in the warehouse area. The focus of this 1989 project was to have the showroom remain open in order to reduce business interruption and customer retention. The 200,000 sq. ft. showroom settings, furniture, and accessory items were cleaned and deodorized within a few days allowing the store to open in a limited way, and business to continue. Following removal of salvage from the warehouse, the structure, rack shelving units, and general contents were cleaned and deodorized and new merchandise was put into place.
