Paper Container Manufacturer, Southwest, USA
A 2011 fire in one of the manufacturing lines at this plant almost cost both the insurer thousands in BI, and the insured untold market share losses because their finished stock inventory was very low. Included in the SOW written by our PM was designing a safe way to access the encumbered heights above the damaged line in order to clean and get the line back in production in just two weeks. The balance of the project was driven to an early, cost-saving conclusion by our on-site staff that oversaw the contractor who finished the project within two months. Original estimate from the contractor was over $9 million, the cost for the restoration settled for $3.4 million.
