Raytheon Anechoic Chamber, Dallas, TX

An anechoic chamber is used to test satellites and microwave communication devices. A fire in 2000 caused a deluge system to dump 100,000 gallons of water into the chamber, which is made up of special four-foot high sections of a unique foam. Each four-foot high by 32-foot wide section costs well over $5,000. The chamber was made up of 15,000 of these sections, which equates to over $75,000,000 in value. Wrote the Scope of Work (SOW) and developed an exclusive method for drying this material without changing its unusual properties.
