SETCO (McCormick Foods), Cranbury, NJ

A fire in 1992 from Styrofoam packing materials caused heavy soot that literally hung like webs from the ceilings and covered everything in the 200,000 sq. ft. facility.  After designing the restoration protocol of pressurizing each area to be cleaned to contain and limit migration (fallout from the cleaning), the work commenced to remove all the soot without causing one day of business interruption to this division that manufactured the plastic bottles for McCormick’s spices.  The challenging part of the project was cleaning the 80,000 sq. ft. production area during a three-day holiday in order to keep the plant operating and ensuring that the insured’s production schedule was never interrupted.
