Hilton Guam, Tumon Bay, Guam
Typhoon Pongsona hit the Island nation of Guam in 2003 leaving catastrophic damages in its wake. The Hilton Guam Resort sustained varying degrees of wind driven rain in moderate to heavy levels, penetrating the building exterior. Restoration services considered the provision of temporary power and desiccant dehumidification, along with structural demolition of directly impacted soft finishes such as sheetrock and carpet. After demolition, a thorough cleaning and decontamination of the support structure and substrates was accomplished under the guidance of the CIH firm providing oversight and clearance.
