Extensive demolition of soft structural surfaces, as well as desiccant drying of the structure, was provided through the restoration process after damages from Typhoon Pongsona in 2003. Due to occupancy requirements at the height of the season, the work was approached in a phased plan that maximized the accommodation of incoming tourists, and minimized business interruption.
