This Builder’s Risk loss is an example of a creative, innovative solution.In 1989, fire and smoke damage to a three-tier, 90-foot mall under construction, was complicated by the design/build specifications to the load bearing portions of the building. The glass atrium had surfaces that could not be reached via normal lift equipment and scaffolding, so we designed a safe working platform, suspending it from the structural steel in the atrium.
